Hi Barbie, I’m glad to have found your blogs. We lost contact years ago (my fault for not writing) after becoming friends at Auburn, and it’s great to read and see so much about what you are doing now, you still look great and sound very happy.

If you are interested, email me and I will fill you in on what my mom (Kathy Skelton) and I have been doing since @ 1980 – the very condensed version! Keep up the blogging, they are inspiration for my next vacation!

I, too, blog about a little of everything; sometimes there’s just sooo much to share. I think your blog and its many topics works well. First, it starts off with your domain name, BarbaraBranblett.com, that says it all: A blog about Barbara and any and everything Barbara likes to do. I think it’s great! We the readers are getting to know you better and your personal experiences.

i am from india and we do not have a Thanksgiving day. However, i must tell you I LOVE YOUR MENU – its making my mouth water. AND I bet a Thanksgiving file is an innovation. You could probably market it in some wierd manner.

Thanks, Dave. I plan to do some prep work on the meal later today–make the spread for the stuffed celery, chop the onions, maybe even make the cornbread for the dressing. Give the Creamy Brussells sprouts some thought–they have bacon in them, and everyone likes them, even those who have never liked Brussells Sprouts. It is on http://www.bhg.com

I read your comment about the mac people will respond, and I am a mac person. I feel your pain! I have been an avid mac user since 1986. This past summer I left my macbook back home in Italy and spent 2 months in Los Angeles. I stayed at my uncle’s house. He has windows. I spent hours upon hours trying to get my uncle’s computer normal without a million pop ups. It was a nightmare. Sweetheart, I truly believe you need to take that rotten computer of yours, go on ebay, get yourself a nice used macbook and toss your old one. Just a thought. Good luck. By the way, seeing the prices of non macs drop, I ALMOST succumbed to buying a non mac. I’m so thankful my husband steered me straight.

Nice bucket list.

I’ll say that everything depends about what one is interested in. Examples: Beauty of the nature, beauty made by a man, historical places, tropical beaches with coconut palms, personal suspensions, to have an experience that is not in other part of worlds etc.

From Your list I would drop off Baltic sea. There is not so much to see and that I know, because I have been travelling during many summer from Helsinki to Travemünde (Germany) by boat vice versa. When in Russia, so the destination is St. Petersburg.

Then it is important to decide at which season one is travelling. Sometimes winter might be real experience. In my country for example we are making the most big Snow Castle every year. One can sleep in the hotel of this castle, this must be something. Also one can take a ride onboard on an icebreaker and swim in icy water, but of course protected properly. Think what kind of videos You could have.

About personal suspension, I could mention driving fast. That is possible on German motorways. Think what a feeling it is when one is driving at the speed of 250km/h or 155 miles/h. I can say it, feeling is fantastic! Next summer I’ll make it again with my car.
